Pension Briol in the Dolomites is somewhat of an enigma. Renowned for its lack of advertising, people still venture up the mountain on foot, no cars allowed, to stay at this wonderful eco-friendly guest house. Designed by the artist Hubert Lanzinger in 1928, it is one of the rare testimonies of the Bauhaus building style in the Alps.
