An intimate self-contained hotel just for two, this strange looking building has been transformed to provide stylish and modern accommodation over three storeys. Built in 1897, the tower stands in the middle of Amsterdam's Watertorenplein where it originally served as a boiler room for the municipal water company.

Even though this former lifeboat has long been decommissioned, it is certainly not out of service. Moored in the harbour at Harlingen, the same location as the lighthouse and crane, the vessel has been transformed into a stylish and cosy romantic hideaway. For an extra fee, the boat can be cast off by a private captain.
